Anyone else have problems fitting the guitar strap over the electric end pin jack on acoustic/electric guitars? I've asked music stores and strap manufacturers and neither seem to think it's a problem....but it is...

Here is my solution (again since I got all the info and pics done then clicked add reply and got a message saying this page isn't working right. Try again later grrrr)

I make my own adapters from a 4"X1" piece of leather (4-5oz or 2 mm) with a properly cut 7/16" hole and 3/4" slit which fits most enlarged end pin jacks. The other end uses a decorative, screw on concho to secure it to the end of the strap.

Here's what it looks like attached to my Taylor DDX

Yes, as you, I had issues........and, same thing, music store seemed dumbfounded! They couldn't believe I had a hammer, crowbar, and pliers trying to get it thru the hole. They finally sent me a string with a piece of leather attached and a slit, now works fine......let me check your out......see ya

Good job DFB!...maybe you should market your idea. It even looks good.

Good, wanna send me a couple....... Not sure where to get screw on conchos? Some store reps saiid I needed an end pin loc, that the item would resolve the issue, but never followed up! The Vender who sold me the strap ended up sending me a small pkg with a string loop(chord) and an egg shipped piece of leather with a slit. Slit went thru the button on the Ax and the egg shaped leather piece, I squeezed the the slit in the strap.....ta Da.....done.....put the crowbar, pliers, etc away

Mine come with the concho complete for $10. I have brown leather and black leather
