That feels a bit misplaced in a forum like this but thanks for sharing your first post with us...

And that has what to do with flatpicking?

Oh man! I'm a HUGE Ace Frehley fan! I'll never forget the time I saw him at Winfield a few years ago. He was in the Pecan Grove, make-up and all. There was a whole bunch of people in make-up even, all dressed up, came walking right up the midway. Now that I think about it, maybe it was just the Carp Camp parade. Hmmm.... probably what it was. Still, I bet Ace would have a kick-axe version of Whiskey Before Breakfast....

Take it easy on a 1st time post-r people. I would think that most of us here are openminded to all kinds of music, and of playing, and I so enjoyed the link. Thanks for putting it up Amy ...Welcome to the Forum!

Guys, before you condemn the members that contribute to 'Flatpicking' guitar network, do a google search on 'Amy Domestico'. ;) You will find that she is a blogger, that's what she does, no interest in flatpicking, just a social butterfly. She signed up for several of these forums on the Ning network (like this one) about the same time. Her interests, in her words, are 'blogging'. She did, however, list her musical interests at one site, they are Taylor Hicks and Michael Jackson. Not that I have anything against either of those artists. None the less, nobody here has been rude to her, mostly questioned why the subject on a forum like this. Myself, I chose to find some humor (or attempted) in it and have some fun with it.

Allan, I choose to look at her post as mind expanding. She just chose a bunch of guitar sites I guess, and did'nt really know. It's all good with me! Do you often GOOGLE people? If you GOOGLED me, would it be like you are tickling me? Cause I don't know you that well yet! LOL! ...Kerry K

Steve, my office is across the street from Dusty Strings in Seattle and it turns out they have a D18GE in stock. I had not even noticed it but picked it up. The neck takes some getting used to (or probably for me the bigger adjustment is tied to a 1…

So what you are talking about here Jon, is not what I started the thread for( but it IS a nice aside!) You NEED to know what your humidity is at in your house were your axe lives. That is what the Hygrometer is for. There are all kinds of threads ev…

I've never had a gauge that I've used for any of my guitars, but what I have done which only costs a few dollars is to get a travel soap box and a sponge to use as a small humidifier that I keep in my case. It's works really well and fits perfectly…

I installed a K&K Pure Western mini in my Johnson Carolina II rosewood OM about 6 months ago. It is the guitar I play virtually every Sunday (small ensemble with organ, piano, bass and violin); I run in through the K&K XLR preamp (high, mid, low, gain…
