For Fans of Flatpicking Guitar Magazine
Kamp is about 3 1/2 months away. Classes are starting to fill and it is great to see. It seems that music always finds a way.
At www.acoustic-kamp.com you will now see a meter to tell how many slots are open for the classes you want to register for. They tick down every couple of days so you may want to think of getting those deposits in. As always if the full deposit of $400.00 is a problem, just call the office and Jo can break it down into smaller chunks.
Kathy's Songwriting/Vocal class for week two is sold out so we are trying to add another class for week one.
The only way we can do it is for you to call flatpik central and register. You won't find it in the online registration until we get at least five folks to confirm the class. We know this addition will be a hit.
We had a meeting in the new Clayton Center for the Arts yesterday and it is magnificent. A big deal to work out was for the Alcoa Kawanis to continue to raise funds for the Children's Hospital. We are now at about the $50,000 level in donations all because of you. Let's keep helping those kids (one TN Tubesteak (hotdog) at a time).
We will have Issacs back for our 10:30PM open mic though there is no food service. There is also a cafe in the Clayton Center we are negotiation as well. Either way we will have a great place for our After Concert Activities.
I've talked to all the instructors and they are kickin' and ready to work with you this summer. They are excited! This is gonna be a great year and we look forward to working and playing with you.
