Waiting for a Train?
OK, I give up.
In the latest issue Steve Kaufman presents "Waiting for a Train" and says it is based on Doc Watson's version. I've searched high and low and can't find where Doc recorded it, although I'm sure I have heard him play it.
Can anyone tell me which of Doc's albums it is on???

OK, well I'll reply to myself. Turns out Doc never recorded Waiting For a Train.
In any case, I think that the break Steve tabbed in the magazine is actually "Peach Pickin' Time in Georgia".

Rick, Both tunes are Jimmie Rogers songs....the tune is essentially the same....for Peach Picking Time & Waiting for a Train.
Hope this helps. ITunes lets you preview for free...many versions

Yeah, the chord structure is essentially the same, but the melody differs; I can hum peach pickin time to Steve's break, whereas waiting for a train just doesn't work.
