For Fans of Flatpicking Guitar Magazine
Hey everyone, I would like to perform a simple survey of all that will reply to this. I am very curious what brand and model of guitar is the most popular among the flatpickers here. There are thousands of members here so it will be great information for someone trying to decide on a "friend". So lets have it flatpickers, what do you play?
I will start;
I play a McPherson MG 4.5 with bearclaw sitka spruce top and indian rosewood b&s

I play a D-28, a signature model OOOO which is very close to an OM, Martin size 5 tenor and a Martin Tenor Ukulele, a Martin sweat shirt and Martin baseball cap.

Permalink Reply by Tom Faux on April 8, 2012 at 5:30am I play, among other things and in no particular order: a sweet loud old D18, a plunky '35 Epiphone arch-top, a green telecaster, a Vega tubaphone 5 string, an Italian button accordion, a couple of gourds, and an extremely ratty old Kay bass (that I'd like to sell.)
Love hearing about people's cherished instruments. All unique, like the folks who play them.

I play an HD-28, Collings OM, and my new John Walker Ruby Elite, which is a small jumbo.
Just got a Martin HD-16R-LSH.
Added a bone saddle and bridge pins. Martin Med strings SP4250 (Bluegrass)
Sweetest sounding guitar I've owned.
I've had a SWDGT, 1968 D-18, D-28 & Guild D-40.

Permalink Reply by D.savage on June 17, 2012 at 1:01am Martin HD-28 and Eastman e20D, The eastman does not have the feel and craftsmanship you find in a Martin but for the price it's a good one to teach the kids on.
