I'm here in Kingston, ON searching for other pickers.  Would love to start a Bluegrass group or association.  Any Ontario Kampers going to TN this summer?

Welcome to this quiet group Alex. Not too sure why there aren't very many Canadians on here but maybe they are still hibernating....spring is here!

Hi everyone....Is this a private club or can any old frost bitten Canadian boy join? I'm here in Guelph and pretty new to "flat picking" although I have been a member here for a few years I just now noticed this "elite five" and Have now made it an even "six member " group! and yes ...I have been hibernating!

Hey Lee. Thanks for joining us. You're not too far away. I'm in Brampton. We have a Folk Club here of around 40 members that get together once a month for a good jam and performance circle. I have a few regular gigs every week too. Tell us a bit about what you do, what kind of guitars you have etc. This goes for the rest of you too!

here it is in a nutshell....I have been playing guitar for a long time mostly electric rockin' blues, but always loved acoustic and have recently started to learn fiddle tunes! Which brings me here...so much great information and amazing "unknown" talent! I have some Martin guitars...I just love the way they sound! I also play a little mandolin and piano. I don't get out jamming as much as I'd like to ( my eight year old son keeps my wife and I very busy )  but I still jam with a few friends every now and then.

"I recently came across a steel string parlor guitar made by P. Benson, in Minneapolis.  It's really a nice little instrument--well built, comfortable, very much like an old Martin 00-18 (mahogany, slotted headstock, pyramid bridge, ladder…"

"My gear is much better than my skill - for straight flatpickin', I play a Martin D-18 Authentic 1937. My go-to guitar for just about everything else (and it flatpicks just fine, thank you) is my Huss & Dalton D-RH with a Red Spruce top.…"
