Re: Granger bible

Thanks Dan, I never would have thought of that. I will do that.

Have you heard of a 2nd edition book that has a lot of the tunes re-done with a capo on the second fret for playing 'D' out of a 'C' shape? If so, where could I get one?

I just got the "amazing slow downer" and I really like it.  There is a free trial available.

Dane,

Haven't heard of a vol II. I asked Adam one time (at Kaufman Kamp) why he did it that way for Ragtime Annie and he said he judged that there was no real benefit in terms of making it easier to go to the capo "C" shape (fwiw).  If you hear of a new revision let us know!

I am totally with Adam on the capo issue. Besides, most Irish pickers are tuned DADGAD or Dropped D tuning. I think its a very American thing to capo in the key of D.

hey gang.... speaking of websites, I don't remember if it's been mentioned (sheesh, I might've mentioned it myself!) but here's another networking site for Irish: http://tradconnect.com/

Norman's Preferences

I saw a video in which Norman discussed why he preferred a certain fret when refretting one of his Martin's. I am about to refret my D-35 Martin, and I would like to know if anyone remembers a video in which Norman discusses his choice over the Frets Martin uses. Thank You.7See More
