Clarence White group introduction

This is a place where we can discuss the flatpicking of Clarence White and the Kentucky Colonels. Feel free to talk about his technique and how Clarence played specific songs. We can also discuss the various re-issues of his material that are on the market, and anything else Clarence-related that you'd like to discuss.

Clarence remains my preferred guitarist. The sound is clean, the style is fine, and the rhythm is perfect. He is my Master.

The lead thing Clarence does when he goes to part B of "Billy In the Low Ground" is way hard even with Barenberg's tab.

I like trying to play some things like Clarence. I can pretty much do Soldier's Joy and parts of I Am A Pilgrim, and I use some of his licks in my version of Alabama Jubilee.

Greg Morton has tabbed out some Clarence White style licks for the mere mortals among us. Some are very challenging so be sure to have fun!
