Bruce,

You are right on! In my mind using the names, and chord shapes FDAA makes a lot more sense than CAGED. Also, in my mind the CAGED C shape and D shape are the same shape. That is why it is not used. However, I didn't invent this. As I mentioned in the book, I got the idea from a book that was written by Fred Sokolow.

Is there a download area on this website where I can download the "Tabs" of all the tunes on the Brad Davis Flatpick Jam CD Set Volumes 1 to 4? I would rather order the CD instead of the DVD. I can't play the DVD on my CD player and according to the description, the DVD has mp3's. I would like to use the Jam CD to expand on my Flatpicking Essentials lessons.

http://www.flatpick.com/flatpickjam/ is the site for downloading PDF tabs for both the CD's and individual DVD's. The individual DVD's (vol. 1 - 4) are just that - no MP3. I think mp3 only comes on the 'Data' DVD version - it has everything all on one DVD as data (no video) for all four volumes including mp3's, PDFs, and other versions of the tunes that have been in Flatpicking Guitar Magazine over the years.

Hope that helps

BTW - Does anyone know if the Data DVD has TAB for the slow versions in Vols. 3, 4, and second half of 2 - the ones that seem to be missing at the PDF download site? (were they never transcribed??? - seems a bit odd to bring a product to market and then promise to complete it sometime later - y'all keep checkin' back now . . .)
