We had some rain last night , and we are still gettin a little, but it is supposed to clear up this afternoon. The rest of the weekend looks great !

We are finishing up the grounds work and have put the sound system in the cellar ..

Last night David and I tested the twin Bose Towers with a short duo jam.. The sound is incredible.
We are moving all shows into the cellar..
Wyatt is pullin in this afternoon..
Bob is already puttin ribs in the smoker..
Thats it for now ..

I cant thank everyone enough for helping make the fest such a grand time..
If I forget to sent personal comments ..please dont take it wrong.
I will add that David Grier played more that anyone at the fest.. I cant ever thank him enough .. or express how much I appreciate his playing..
He is simply the best, imho.

I heard at Winfield that Robin Kessinger has been under the weather. He is one of my favorite flatpickers and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Hello Bill you poconut!, i would love to visit next years festival , but i am not shure about the economic prospects for the coming year.Things here in the lowlands are not looking that bad as in some other countries but you never know. I love the program for next year, some of my favourite players (grier!) will be there hmmm. I wish you happy holidays.

Thanks for letting me know about this - it looks fantastic. I'm working on my 2009 Fun calendar over the holidays and I hope to slot this one in. Are there other events / festivals in the region that time of year that I could include? Its a ways to go from Phoenix but I'm sure its worth it.

howdy Ward,

Actually, if you are a Poco/Ritchie Furay fan.. They are playing in Steelville the friday and sat. before our fest.
At the WildWood Springs Lodge.
The Upper Meramec River is a great floating river , some whch can end rite at the vineyard.

Bill, Don't expect to see me around Steelville in May. With that line-up, there's going to be sparks flying off of the picks and if the woods are dry... I sure hope the Devil doesn't come down with a silver guitar to challenge that group!
Another outstanding line-up. A definite 10+
BTW, I don't know if it caught anyone else's eye, but as I was scrolling the pics, I wouldn't read the names until I looked at the pics. I came to one and couldn't figure out who the guy was w/ the big Mohawk. When my eyes adjusted, I realized that it was David Grier with his head perfectly centered with one of the barrels over it.
No offense David. Art
