Just got my first Taylor. The DDX model. Gloss Black, Maple back and sides with a Sitka Spruce top. Love it!

High Freddy,

I own a 2009 Taylor 214. It's the first guitar I've ever bought. About the same time as I bought my 214 I started learning to flatpick.

I know it's not a bluegrass guitar but for now it's what I have and I really enjoy playing it!

Howdy!

Proud owner of a 1996 Taylor 810.  Great sounding guitar - well balanced, and records real nice.  Can't cut through the noise in an open jam against all the Martin's, but on tape or mic'd right, it does a fine job!

Just added another Taylor to my collection. A Taylor GS Mini Mahogany top. Since they brought out the Mini in 2010 it has been hard to keep in stock. My local store never had one to try out. I wanted a "travel size" guitar for a while now but they all sounded too tinny for me but I finally bit the bullet and ordered one in. I couldn't believe how "full" it sounds for a smaller scale guitar. I am super happy with it.

"My gear is much better than my skill - for straight flatpickin', I play a Martin D-18 Authentic 1937. My go-to guitar for just about everything else (and it flatpicks just fine, thank you) is my Huss & Dalton D-RH with a Red Spruce top.…"
