Hello Guys.... only one Canadian picker? It seems is gonna be a European group....not bad, but I am curious if we see a South American one... Any idea of what shall we do in order to induce bluegrass artists to come more often?
Anyway.....spring has arrived in sunny Italy!!

Hi Alen, hi everybody,
there are already some occasions (e.g. Beppe Gambetta's workshop in Slovenia in August, the "banjoree" in Hagen, or any festival). I thought about it a couple of times...In my opinion lots of smaller local meetings could be better than just one big meeting far away somewhere in Europe; this means less organizational work, financial risk for the organizer and less time necessary fo traveling. Anyway it will be helpful if more people took part in groups like this. Maybe someday someone comes up with a plan and he or she can easily contact anybody else.

Hi Everyone .. hope you have room for one more Canadian .
I'm from South Western Ontario and a member of the Thames Valley Bluegrass Association . My job keeps me on the road most of the time so I don't play with a bands per say but often sit in with different members when we do events to promote our club . We had our first festival in July 2009 and it was awesome, Lonesome River Band , Nashville Bluegrass Band , Grasstowne , Nothin Fancy , just to name a few . Next years event is in the works and were working hard to match the line up of great bands . ( TBA )
