Beppe Gambetta 16th International Summer Workshop for New Acoustic Guitar

At my 16th annual International Workshop in Ambroz pod Krvavcem, Slovenia I had the great pleasure to teach and share the stage with American guitar master Steve Kaufman. We spent a really fantastic week together and everyone enjoyed to have this great guest. The winner of the 2008 Ambroz flatpicking award has been Yiannis Gougourelas from Greece.

You may remember helping me with my contest tunes at last year's SKAK. Today was the contest and I did Cattle in the Cane and Temperance Reel. I did OK although it wasn't good enough to make the final 5. I got a lot of compliments from people in the audience who enjoyed my tunes. Thanks for your help!

Hey Beppe,
I took the liberty of posting some info on your upcoming concert in Davis, Oklahoma. I hope that's Ok. I can't wait. I love flatpicking and can't tell you how much it means to me to have you in our small town. I have tried to expose as many as I can in Davis to flatpicking for many years but there just aren't many who know anything about it. I was at your first concert in Davis and looking forward to this one.

I am wondering if your October 19th date for Woods Hole Massachussetts is a confirmed date. That seems to be the closest you will be to me on your US tour. Also, would you be interested in doing a house concert in New Hampshire while you are in the New England area? There are a lot of folks here that would love to come and see you perform. My daughter will be spending her junior year of college in Firenze and we will be in Italy from December 20th through January 4th. Any recommendations for the holidays in Italy?
