Following the footsteps of my father, uncles and cousins. It was fun for 20 yrs or so, then I spent alot of time wishin I had stayed in school.
An injury took that from me, so I decided to indulge my passion for guitar. Started SimpleFolk Productions to allow me to pursue a dream .

I love my dogs, and have been known to have a killer garden.

Hi Bill. Thanks for the compliment on the Larrivee. It is a favorite of mine.
My wife is doing very well. She had really big heart surgery in Feb, but you would never know it to look at her. She is working out and getting stronger day by day. Thanks for asking about her.
We are heading to PA this week and will be gone about a week. When I get back I will email you and we will see what we can work out.
We are going to a family wedding and then on to Martin and Gettysburg on the way home.

Take care and I will be in touch.

Bill, The Peaceful Bend Americana Festival 2009 was just fantastic. Joy and I had a great time and wish we could have stayed for Saturday and Sunday. Next year we'll do just that.

I got some pretty high quality video from Thursday and Friday some of Josh and Tyler on stage and some from the workshops. I have not shared or posted it anywhere because I figured I don't own the rights to do that and it hasn't been previewed by anyone. But if you or Dan (or the performers) have an interest and can use them some way, I'll be glad to send them to you. They're VGA (640 x 480) resolution so a minute and a half clip is one hundred thirteen MB. I've probably got about an hour of video altogether.

Normally it would be great but my wife just had extensive heart surgery and right now I am finding myself pretty busy. She is doing very well, but is still in the recovery stage so I would find getting together a little tough right now. Several weeks down the line, things should be getting back to normal for us.

Hi Bill,

Bob Applegate here. Thanks for your comments. The guitar shop you were in was mine and the band and album you had were as well. The record albums were recorded just before Mitch Corbin joined the band in 1980. We had a great time. Good to hear from you.

I should pay more attention to my typing! What I meant to say was, maybe after the holidays we could work out a get together in your area or mine to play a few tunes and get to know each other. It is always nice to find a new picking friend.

Hey Bill,
Good to hear from you. Hope all is well with you. I've been playing with 3 other guys for about 5 months now...lots of nursing homes and a small coffee shop. They need a mando player so its been a crash course but lots of fun.
Take care,
Vic

It was a crazy Winfield this year with the flood. I did end up picking at both the lake and at Oxford. We only attended the festival one day. My 10 year old had strep the week before so we ended up getting a motel room. My wife ate up jamming on the bass...she came home with blisters on every finger but her pinky! Lots of fun, sorry we missed you.
