I'm from Scotland and became a guitar-head in Luxembourg around 2001 when I got a Lakewood M14. I'd played before that but had got stale. I play a mixture of trad Scots/Irish, folk and pop. I play fingerstyle and like a lot of McManus and McMeen tunes. I also enjoy flatpicking with dem dare Tortis Picks and like the Kaufman PLP series and everything that Beppe plays. I also like playing Bert Jansch type folky stuff and knocking out a bit of Bowie, Floyd, etc. Listening wise I enjoy most things except MOR and soft rock.

I've never had a gauge that I've used for any of my guitars, but what I have done which only costs a few dollars is to get a travel soap box and a sponge to use as a small humidifier that I keep in my case.
It's works really well and fits perfectly…
