Buzzing is an understatement!
Have been working on my "boom chuck" like a maniac & trying to learn a couple of songs with lead mixed in with the strum. Barenburg started me off on Wildwood Flower & I've made some progress here, plus I've found a good Youtube "lesson" with an arrangement of "I'll flyaway" that seems do-able for my basic knowledge & ability. My target is to have nailed say 10 songs in time for Kamp 2009 to give me some sort of base to work from. ......who knows, one day I may be able to jam with you!

Hey Cathal, so you did another Kamp, eh?
I'd love to do another one too. Not sure how likely that is now that we're back in Scotland and I'm having to work for a living! Never say never though. And if you ever find yourself on the west of Scotland, come to our island and we'll jam!

Now that's an invitation that one day I will surely take you up on. I sincerely enjoyed playing together and discussing our work and families as well. May all good things come your way, Cathal. I will give you plenty of notice when I'm ready to take you up on your kind offer of a Guinness in Dublin.

Hi Cathal,

Yes I will see you at Kamp. I will be there for Friday 20th-22nd.
I see from Philippe's note that you know Richard Hawkins. Is this the same one I used to pick with from Cambridge, England? I knew he moved to Ireland around 1970 or so. Which was around the same time I moved to the States.
Looking forward to talking to you soon.

Best Wishes,

Hazel.

In my humble abilities I have been fortunate enough to use some great picks on guitars that I do not deserve. I have several tortoise shells that dear friends gave me long ago. They are like playing with a fingernail and even shape to your fingers...
