Heck bunches... Norman Blake, Doc Watson, Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, Tony Rice, Hylo Brown, Nickel Creek, Skaggs, Lester Flatt, Jimmy Martin, the Osbornes... all the usual suspects. And... The Cheftains!
Favorite Flatpicking Tunes
Whiskey Before Breakfast, Under the double eagle, Arkansas Traveler, Wildwood Flower etc...
Favorite Guitars
I love em all, got some Martin, Gibson, Epi, Yammie, Suzuki, + more... But I want a D-42 (I've decided a D-45 was too blingy)... Santa?
Tell us more about yourself (place a Bio here if you wish)
Born and raised in the heart of the flatpickin capitol of the world... Brooklyn, New York, in a little neighborhood called Flatbush. Fell in love with the acoustic guitar at the innocent age of 14.

Im a BIG John Prine fan!

Pickin & strummin at this guitar for about 35 years give or take. Took time off in betwixd passions. But I have always owned ay least one guitar. Now there are many (oi vey!) I like to flatpick yet I don't consider myself talented enough to be a full on lead guitarist. I'm best at singing and strumming with a few good licks thrown in.
I don't write my own songs. There's enough music out there already. It's all I can do to cover the ones I like.

Forgive the lousy recordings... :)

Thanks for the kind words, Chitz! Sweet Georgia Brown is a great melody and has a great chord progression to play around on. Glad you enjoyed it!

Dan, Going through in detail now, and came to this point again. You diagram on p.67 makes the similarity of the C and D forms clear. Another way I have seen these box patterns named that I also find useful is name them 'string-finger' according to…
