- Daddy to three kids, I'm a draftsman at a tank manufacturing company, I teach flatpicking, and I'm a volunteer firefighter. I've had a couple of top 5's at Winfield, one of them being 2nd place in 2002. I play in a couple different bluegrass bands and I love blugrass!

I've never had a gauge that I've used for any of my guitars, but what I have done which only costs a few dollars is to get a travel soap box and a sponge to use as a small humidifier that I keep in my case.
It's works really well and fits perfectly…

I have to admit I do like D'addarios, once I get my callouses back I may move up to ej17's

One of objectives of my retirement years was to pick as much and wherever I wanted. That's pretty much the case. Headed to South Plains College in July for Camp Bluegrass, Winfield, then Guthrie.

You were the first flatpicker to sign my guitar. You played at Okla. Traditional Music Assn. in maybe 2003. You have since been joined by Steve Kaufman, Bob Taylor, Dan Crary, Tommy Emanuel, and many more. What a great time I've had collecting these autographs. Hope everything is going OK in your world.

Thought i'd say hi when I saw you are a fellow Okie. I'm gonna have to look to see where Afton is in relation to Davis. I don't have any flatpickers around where I live that I know of but i'm working on it. I'm a slow inexperienced picker but I'm working on that too. I sure wish i lived close enough to take some lessons.
