Ok. Give me a day or two to get them into mp3 format and I'll just post them here on my page. Later, Gary

Hi Dan. What you are hearing is a recorded rhythm track with a click track. The camera that I am using to make the video is emphasizing the click track and de-emphasizing the rhythm. I record rhythm tracks for songs I'm learning at different speeds. I've found that it's better for me to use one track as a dedicated click track, then when all my tracks are finished I just leave it out of the mix. What you were hearing is one of my practice tracks @ 220 bpm. I was just playing it back on Windows Media Player. I'll post some backup tracks if you want. See if you like them. Later, Gary

Hey Dan!

What is the big Left handed guitar pictured in your photos? The sign appears to say Grand Guitar something, but it goes by so fast I can't be certain. Hope stuff is going ok for you.

Hi, Dan, Oh, great! Just Great! ..more competition for the guitar contests moving this way! :) I'll hold open a pickin' chair and there should be a few tunes left to play, by the time you arrive! :) Just finished putting out a music fire, someone called desparate for Def Leopard, Hysteria, guitar tabs, and would you believe, ha, it was the pastor from the local church? So funny!

Dan,
My office is still in Pulaski and I'm there a couple of times a month. Last month I actually moved from California back to Virginia, but I live in the northern Virginia area and commute down to the office in Pulaski a few times a month to help out down there. So I look forward to your move to the Blacksburg/Radford area. We need to get together and pick!
Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan. Nice to make your aquaintance. I love Bluegrass and have just bought a Blueridge BR-240, so I expect to be going flatpick crazy for a while. Glad you like my Scottish arrangements.

Hi Dan,
On picture 4 the man on the left in front with the banjo, is he John Kootz from Charleston, WV? If not, it is such a close likeness I cannot tell the difference.

Hi Dan, I'm glad you enjoyed Twin Picking ... it was a fun recording to make and gave me a chance to spend time with Adam. Take care.

Dan, Going through in detail now, and came to this point again. You diagram on p.67 makes the similarity of the C and D forms clear. Another way I have seen these box patterns named that I also find useful is name them 'string-finger' according to…

been awhile since Jed asked the pick question, so probably doesn't care by now, but when i went to a Beppe workshop some years ago, he was using the Dunlop 500 (not the tortex, but the glossy model), pink one... .98 thickness.
