Bill, Landing Bryan McDowell is a wonderful addition for Peaceful Bend. I saw the entire Mandolin and the entire Flatpick guitar contest this year, and he is a genuine phenom---clean tone and smooth with wonderful timing. You may have noticed that h…

I'd like to think its the great folks that visit the Bend that makes life good there.
That and a good bottle of wine will do it every time !
Thanx for the Holiday wishes.. we send them rite back to you.
We will be down the end of feb for that indoor fest.. The Ozark Alliance folks are good friends , and Josh and his band will be there as well. I think Prine is in town that friday too.
We will also be down for the Flat Pick St. Louis weekend. Lets do a few Lonesome Fiddles !

Hayes, great pleasure to meet you and your dad. I will keep my ears open on a D1A and reflect anything good that comes up. As you know, I think you are making a good decision here with respect to the old 18. All the best, Dave

Hey Dave! Just wanted to say that it was good to meet you this past weekend and I had a great time talking guitars with you. I'm looking real heavy now for a D1A to take out with me so I can give the 18 a rest. If you know a good place to find one, I'd love to hear. Talk to you soon!

Hi Dave
So I assume your getting ready for Rockygrass. What day are you and Lynne arriving? Would love to see ya.
Maybe I'll drop on in and see how the instrument building is going for you.

Thanks for today, it was a blast. Also, shoot me an email as I don't think I have your email address... I have some ideas to send you.

Good call on getting together... I am still a little giddy from the weekend and I think everyone around me is getting tired of hearing about it. Even the dogs stopped listening... Sunday would probably be better for me. I will check to make sure and give you a call tonight or tomorrow.

Dave-
I tried calling you the other day but didnt leave a message. Just wanted to let you know that I have your camp chairs as I threw them in my trunk Saturday night when I was scrambling to get out of the rain. You'll have to let me know how the lesson went with Sutton. I had one with Bull Monday night that I felt pretty good about. Anyway, let me know when you are ready to start working on that hotel in Ohio...

Born and raised in Kentucky. One set of grandparents were Scottish-Irish decendents who played Stewart banjos; the other set were Swedish immigrants who liked to dance. Financed college and graduate school playing dixieland style banjo at The Red Garter and Your Father's Mustache nightclubs in Chicago, New York and Boston. Now returning to my roots by studying flatpick guitar and dabbling in Mandolin; my wife is now playing guitar as well. Life is good.

Steve, my office is across the street from Dusty Strings in Seattle and it turns out they have a D18GE in stock. I had not even noticed it but picked it up. The neck takes some getting used to (or probably for me the bigger adjustment is tied to a 1…

So what you are talking about here Jon, is not what I started the thread for( but it IS a nice aside!) You NEED to know what your humidity is at in your house were your axe lives. That is what the Hygrometer is for. There are all kinds of threads ev…

I've never had a gauge that I've used for any of my guitars, but what I have done which only costs a few dollars is to get a travel soap box and a sponge to use as a small humidifier that I keep in my case. It's works really well and fits perfectly…
