Got first guitar at age seven, Started listening to Joan Baez, Doc Watson, and Carter Family when I was 13, First heard Mississippi John Hurt and Ian & Sylvia in college. Love flatpicking and fingerpicking equally. In broadcasting in Louisville in early 70's and emceed Bluegrass Festival of The United States on radio, TV, and on stage for several years. Have owned a bazillion guitars. Since I retired 7 years ago, I practice 3 or 4 hours each day, just cuz I love it
