Tell us more about yourself (place a Bio here if you wish)
Having cut my musical teeth on bluegrass, I've been a flatpicker (and banjo picker) for more than 30 years now. I am currently in a Celtic/Bluegrass ensemble called Sligo Rags, a band which incorporates bluegrass textures into (primarily) Irish tunes; although we do lapse into the occasional "Foggy Mountain Special" and such. Sligo Rags is an extraordinarily busy band, playing shows constantly in Southern and Central California. If you live in the area and would like to come see us, check out http://www.sligorags.com/showschedule
I am also a member of a "Jazz-grass" band called TimbreLine, we play from time to time in Southern California as well. You may visit us at http://www.timbreline.altpro.net
I have included a cut from our 'Sophistry' CD on this page.
Hi David, Thanks for adding me to your pickin friends. I
like (love) the D-35 as well. The only HD-35 I had was stolen
last year. I am awaiting the delivery of a Martin SWDGT I
bought on EBAY last week. Two weeks ago I picked up a
12 fret Collings 0001A-SB . Best classical guitar I have ever played, even without nylon strings. It's a great finger player.
Welcome Sir! Larry
David: Glad to be a flatpickin buddy. Thanks for adding me as a friend. Hope to see you down the road and pick a tune somewhere. Let me know if you are ever in the Orlando Florida area. We have good music, and I always have an extra guitar available if you don't want to fly with yours. Bill
"Just added the Taylor K22e to my collection. Physically, it is the most beautiful guitar that I have ever seen. The lovely KOA and maple combinations are literally breathtaking. The KOA and boxwood ocean vine inlay on the fret board is striking, as…"
