Doug, one of the things I have done for years is only tune to the octave harmonic. Doing it this way lets the tuner only have to 'read' half the frequencies. Go put your old tuners on and give it a try and let us know if it works OK?...
So are we looking at the Sangre de Cristo or the Wet Mountains in the background?
