Glen, thanks i am glad you liked it. she received a grant from north carolina arts council when she was living out in boone and moved home to recruit myself and my buddies to be the free musicians on the project. we were able to get Eamon from the greencards to come over from nashville in between tours and put down most of the fiddle parts. most of the songs were written either by her or by a couple of other friends with the exception of a couple of standards. she has recently recorded a new album with 3 Penny Acre ( a local group she plays with out of Fayetteville) she called last night and told me that two of her songs were selected in the New Folk category at Kerrville this year.anyway, she makes a lving at it and i just do it for a good time. i hope we get to play together sometime. I got a message from Dale Lipsmeyer this week and he mentioned that you two had gotten together to visit and share some tunes. Ed
Glen, i have a good friend in siloam that i play with whenever possible. his name is jesse greenhill. good flatpicker with lots of original ideas. we should get together sometime. i live down the hill in alma but my daughter and son live in fayetteville. she plays music in the nw ark area quite a bit and i occasionally sit in with her. anyway i come up the hill fairly often so we should try to pcik sometime. ed
Hey Glen!
This will be my fourth year to make Kaufmans kamp. It is the only vacation for a grown man. No wife or children to say "I want" "I need" I made one of his weekend camps in 05, it was real good. You get a chance should make a weekend. The week long Kamp is reasonable price considering it includeds room and board.
I don't make up to the north west often but if I see I will be up there I will let you know and we will hit a few licks.
Dale

Played guitar for 20 years mostly rhytm and fingerstyle stuff, just recently started Flatpicking about 4 or 5 years ago, currently somewhere approaching the intermediate level closet picker. Talent level rapidly dimenishes with the number of people listening :-).
Steve, my office is across the street from Dusty Strings in Seattle and it turns out they have a D18GE in stock. I had not even noticed it but picked it up. The neck takes some getting used to (or probably for me the bigger adjustment is tied to a 1…

So what you are talking about here Jon, is not what I started the thread for( but it IS a nice aside!) You NEED to know what your humidity is at in your house were your axe lives. That is what the Hygrometer is for. There are all kinds of threads ev…
I've never had a gauge that I've used for any of my guitars, but what I have done which only costs a few dollars is to get a travel soap box and a sponge to use as a small humidifier that I keep in my case.
It's works really well and fits perfectly…
