Is Richmond over by Houston? Pflugerville is for people to live in houses and for growing corn. Not neccessarily in that order. There is not much else here. I work in Austin. My flatpicking time is down to minutes per month. Life is squeezing out a lot of the fun stuff, but it is only for a season. When I do play it is on a baby martin since the dread needs a refret. I have not heard of camp bluegrass. Where and when?
I have several cousins in Augusta. How long has your sister lived there?
She might possibly know some of my kin up there.
I have one guitar, a Matin 000-1R. They don't make these anymore. They were not very expensive, but they have a great tone and volume.
I'm trying to decide which guitar I want next: a 000-18GE, a 000-18NB, or a Gruhn 0000-18.
Thanks, Jerry! Gunter is about halfway between Dallas and Oklahoma. Are you going to be at any festivals up this way any time this year? I'm planning on going to Canton, which is southeast of Dallas, in June.
Which Merrill do you have? I have a '01 C-28, and absolutely love the sound. I'm a flavor chemist in the Dallas area, working with a company producing ingredients for the food industry.
Are you a member of the Bay Area Bluegrass Association? I was down for the Fire On The Strings Festival in Montgomery a couple of weeks ago. There was some great picking at the guitar flatpicking competition.

"Where does the time go? I've come to accept the physical limitations which come with age, but mine are of a degree which interfere with my ability to play for more than a couple of hours per day. It's disheartening, but I simply do the…"
"I hear you, buddy. I will hit the big 70 in January! YikesI But nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, will keep me from several hours a day on my guitar, banjo, and fiddle. I figure, now that I am retired, every day is Saturday! You are one…"
