He's ALIVE! Run Forest, Run!

Howdy folks!

Sorry to have been MIA for this webring thing... (song there?) but I have been chasing my tail and seemingly starting to get a handle on it.

Wanted to tell y'all that my website is back up, after someone hacked it and I had to rebuild from scratch! I am still in construction mode, so you might want to bring your hard hat. Ha!

www.jimhurst.com is the place, c'mon over.

Be back more often, I hope. Be well, keep…

Howdy strangers...

Howdy all. Here I am in the 2nd day of the last 3 days' worth of gigs with the Claire Lynch Band, and I thought I'd take a moment and say hello to y'all. It's been quite a while....

Yep, you have probably heard that I am leaving the CLB and this is my last weekend tour with them. Joining her in my place is Matt Wingate, and I wish him well, as I do Jason Thomas and Mark Schatz. Claire has had many players in her bands over the years, and I have been working for…

Father's Day weekend in CA...

Just heading back home from a weekend in CA. Father's Day Fest in Grass Valley (missed Dan Miller -he was in VA), and Huck Finn Jubilee in Victorville. Disappointed that the Roy Rogers Museum has been moved from Victorville to Branson, MO. Happy to have seen Paige Anderson (hope you're feeling better Paige), heard Molly Tuttle and the Tuttle band, and visited with my buddy Mike Wilhoyte, always a good time. Also good to hear the Grascals and nice to hear Sawmill Road and Blue and… Continue

Hi Jim,

We are going to have to get together and do some picking, being as we are so close! I usually have a jam here at the house on Sunday afternoons. Let me know when you are going to have some time off.

Best Wishes,

Hazel.

Norman's Preferences

I saw a video in which Norman discussed why he preferred a certain fret when refretting one of his Martin's. I am about to refret my D-35 Martin, and I would like to know if anyone remembers a video in which Norman discusses his choice over the Frets Martin uses. Thank You.7See More
