I installed a K&K Pure Western mini in my Johnson Carolina II rosewood OM about 6 months ago. It is the guitar I play virtually every Sunday (small ensemble with organ, piano, bass and violin); I run in through the K&K XLR preamp (high, mid, low, gain…

Good stuff! Loved the laid back tempo, and the extra-measure-pauses, the White/Rice bluesy insertions. Made me revisit the melody again. Another example of how classic melodies remain timeless. No notes wasted. Just a great arrangement and performan…

Hi Jimmy,
so nice to hear from you, have you decided which week you will be at Kamp yet in 2009?
its a tough call!

Hey Jimmy we missed you last year! Hope you make it next year. Course since you are a big star, you might not want to hang with us peons.

See you next year? You are a buddy of Dan and Joe or am I mixing you up with somebody else? Anyway...Kamp was great. It always is! Best jamming for a flatpicking guitar player that I know of (at least the most opportunities to play with new folks at any level you want). Good to hear from you...

Hey Jimmy, you probably don't remember me, but we jammed on whiskey last year the first night of camp. I wanted to steal your guitar. Great version of red haired boy!

Hey Jimmy! Great to hear from you. My Kamp plans fell through too when a deadline got moved back. I've applied my deposit to 2009 - hope to see you then. I'm having a ball with the mando, but it's tough to get enough quality time on both it and guitar. I guess I've got too many good things going on to handle them all.

Dang, you're friends with Tim Stafford? I want to be you when I grow up.

Steve, my office is across the street from Dusty Strings in Seattle and it turns out they have a D18GE in stock. I had not even noticed it but picked it up. The neck takes some getting used to (or probably for me the bigger adjustment is tied to a 1…

Sorry to get a little off topic :-( I realized it once I clicked the Add Reply button.. I like what you said about being able to afford a 20 Dollar Hygrometer... if you can spend 4 grand on a box.. and you can't spend the little bit of money on the…

So what you are talking about here Jon, is not what I started the thread for( but it IS a nice aside!) You NEED to know what your humidity is at in your house were your axe lives. That is what the Hygrometer is for. There are all kinds of threads ev…

I've never had a gauge that I've used for any of my guitars, but what I have done which only costs a few dollars is to get a travel soap box and a sponge to use as a small humidifier that I keep in my case. It's works really well and fits perfectly…
