Very nice. I like everything about this. The tempo and it's a great version. Keep it up.

I live in the small town of Mount Shasta, CA, where I work as a geologist, which supports my guitar playing habit. This is an amazing outdoor playground- opportunities abound for backcountry skiing, hiking, and swimming. I grow a big veggie garden every year and am a big fan of homegrown tomatoes.

I love playing guitar, and play bluegrass, Celtic, a little jazz/swing, and some country/rock 'n roll.

Lately I've been working a lot on rhythm playing. I'm also on the never-ending quest for improvisational freedom. I also love to sing and harmonize. Teaching has been one of the most rewarding things I've done - I love helping people to learn and to play better, and it inevitably helps me to learn as well. Jamming is also a blast - it's fun to learn new tunes and play with different people. I go to Wintergrass, Weiser, sometimes Strawberry, and local jams around NorCal and southern Oregon.

I sometimes enter flatpicking contests - that's helped me get over feelings of nervousness, as well as helping me to focus my practice. in 2006 I won the California State flatpicking contest (paid for my tank of gas to get there!), and I have also placed 2nd at the Western Open flatpicking contest.

Hey Kevin,

Thanks for the friendship request. Monica and I just put in our first batch of veggies for the season. We'll be pickin' salads in a few months! Hey, if you ever make it over to White Pine County, Nevada, give me a shout.
