I'm a player and I love the flatpicking guitar style. I make a large portion of my living doing this and I'm grateful for the forum and for Dan's consistent energy to promote and enhance the public's awareness of what we do. Let it roll!
Can't wait to see you at Kamp. Brian ("you won Winfield that long ago?") was up this weekend doing some recording. He's really coming along. Your response to that comment has to rank as one of the funniest all time!
We were standing on the porch of the Kamp Kafeteria and you noticed my nephew's Winfield shirt. Rolly commented that you had won Winfield and Brian thought he might have seen you compete until you mentioned that you won it in '95. His comment was, "that long ago?!?" We all got a big laugh at your expression, but more at the fact I think that we see things with different perspective with a "little" age under our belts. I just came home from pickin' bluegrass and eating out at the County barn - mmm good Bonsmara beef! http://tinyurl.com/3l499q Looking forward to Kamp.
Mark~ Thanks for adding me as friend in this GREAT NEW FORUM~ I second Rex's emotion :-) ~ 3 Cheers to Dan for this fabulous idea!~~Keep in touch and hope to see you picking somewhere sooner than later
