- My flatpicking really seemed to take off when I went to Old Time Week at Augusta (Elkins, WVa) and took Intermediate/Advanced flatpicking guitar with Steve Kilby. After I started learning to flatpick some fiddle tunes, I fell in love with guitar playing in a whole new way.

I don't get much of a chance to play guitar in most of the bands I'm in, those are nice rare occasions, that Donkey stuff is pretty wide ranging stuff with Charlie Parker and Miles Davis to Bill Monroe and Ralph Stanley.
Good for you! I first heard it in 1996 or '97 at Steve Kaufman's Kamp and took several years to get it down to record it, so there's no rush. It's fun to play everytime! Thanks to Robin Kessinger for sharing this tune. BTW, got to pick with the MAN, Steve Kaufman when he did an outstanding clinic in Calgary this week-end!
