Hi Marv,
I just wanted to say Hi. I'm a Flatpick L member, although mostly just a reader. I really enjoyed your stream on Flatpick L about playing with a softer touch. It has helped me to improve my playing. You always seem to have some good feedback on other issues too. I'm in a Bluegrass band in CA, sponsor a bluegrass jam in my area and of course I'm working hard to raise the level of my pickin. Thanks for the tips.

Hey Marv,
Thanks for the comment. By the way does the softer approach technique apply to the right hand (flatpicking hand) as well. I saw a comment by someone recently about how the faster they pick the softer they hold the pick. Do you find this to be true?
Thanks

Thanks again for the sage advice. I'll have to check out the Kaufman DVD.

Any Carbon Acoustic Guitar enthusiast here?

My first Carbon was an Adamas.I currently play a Rainsong Dred.I discovered carbon Guitars 2 years ago in a local Guitar store and purchased one within a month.  I played my first RainSong Dred about a year later and bought that one.I watched Scott Nygards reviews on you tube and that kinda got me searching.Anyone else play the fakes?See More

"I have settled on the BlueChip CT55. The BlueChip picks play very smooth and fast, with little pick noise. By the way, I use their thumb picks as well- best I've ever used."
