Tell us more about yourself (place a Bio here if you wish)
i've been playing guitar since 1967. For many years it was rock, blues and a bit of jazz with a myriad of fun local bands and jams but some years went by without much playing at all. About 15 years ago I got my 1st Dan Crary CD and on it was Beppe Gambetta. Wow!! After another brief hiatus, 10 years ago my interest in acoustic music really "picked" up after connecting with some local "jammers" here in Calgary. So I totally refocussed on acoustic music and began the quest... Learning, teaching, jamming, travelling. I've been to Beppe's camp twice and highly recommend it fellow North Americans looking for a wonderful alternative musical experience. Also enjoy Steve Kaufman's workshops - entertaining, challenging, rewarding.

Got it. Thanks. You are the first one to link in, apart from Dan Miller himself. Now to figure out how to use this network to best effect.

Thanks so much for the invitation,Peter.Don't know yet,but if i come, you'll be the first to know.
So,Collings or Bourgeois, hmm? Try the Country Boy Deluxe mahogany dreadnaught,it is a fantastic guitar.Regarding Colling's i've never played one(except Steve Kaufman's OM),but i read nothing but great things on them.
Good luck on the hunt.

Best,
Yiannis

Hello from Texas to another McPherson fan! I have had mine now for five years and boy has it grown into an awesome sounding and playing guitar. Although it is getting close to needing a fret job. Mine is a MG 4.5 Bearclaw Sitka and indian rosewood, very beautiful wood both front and back. What is yours and how do you like it so far?

Thanks Todd,

Wow, what a small world we live in, I bought mine from Danny as well. Found his place online, talked to him once and sent him the money. The next morning Fed-Ex knocked on my door with my "Baby". I use the short bridge as well and have gone through many, many strings. At the present time I am using Cleartones Bluegrass set up .013 - .056. I have always noticed that this guitar is very loud, out plays the others I have and the guy's I have played with. I play all styles and have a song book with a multitude of songs, currently and for the last 8 months I have been consumed with flatpicking. Learning stuff from Bryan Sutton, Scott Fore, Rick Williams, and a ton of others on youtube.com.
