Hey Preston,
I just returned from Kaufman's Acoustic camp and thought I'd let you know my Thompson Guitar was the center of attention once again. This guitar gets noticed wherever I go. Lot's of great guitarist have asked to play it once they hear it. Just thought I'd give you a bright spot to your day. Thanks for a great guitar. Uwe Kruger even pointed out the top was Austrian Spruce. I didn't know you could tell that at a glance like he did. That guy is extremely knowledgeable on guitars. It took about 30 minutes to get it back from him once he started playing it. Great tone at any volume. Thanks once again for a great guitar. Mike Pullen

Preston - are all your guitars numbered? Mine has a five digit number written on the bottom left of the label inside, but that is all I see....

Hey Preston - remember I bought one of your intruments back around 1985 when I was living in OK - it is still going strong - at one point it was in its case for about 16 months; I took it out and it was in perfect tune - great guitar (I have jealous friends)

Hey Preston,
I have sent you a friend request. My Thompsons' serial # ends in HM. I will get you more info later. I don't have a decent camera right now or I'd send pictures. A great guitar.

Preston, a voice from your past -I lived in Sherman and played music with Joe Hoch. I have #4 made in October 1982. I will get a good picture and post it. Unfortunately, it spends too much time in its case as I have become addicted to the mandolin

Steve, my office is across the street from Dusty Strings in Seattle and it turns out they have a D18GE in stock. I had not even noticed it but picked it up. The neck takes some getting used to (or probably for me the bigger adjustment is tied to a 1…

Sorry to get a little off topic :-( I realized it once I clicked the Add Reply button.. I like what you said about being able to afford a 20 Dollar Hygrometer... if you can spend 4 grand on a box.. and you can't spend the little bit of money on the…

So what you are talking about here Jon, is not what I started the thread for( but it IS a nice aside!) You NEED to know what your humidity is at in your house were your axe lives. That is what the Hygrometer is for. There are all kinds of threads ev…

I've never had a gauge that I've used for any of my guitars, but what I have done which only costs a few dollars is to get a travel soap box and a sponge to use as a small humidifier that I keep in my case. It's works really well and fits perfectly…
