Hey Shaun . . . a few picks are on their way to you.
I just put an hour and a half on my Osthoff and it was one fine time! That guitar REALLY wakes up after about 20 minutes or so. Man I love that guitar!
When you get to John's shop, ask him to see his new dread he's making. It should be pretty special.
Ah... I forgot about your HD. That's a killer! Actually, I remember Mike's 21 being a pretty amazing guitar. My Martin has been banished to the closet... in Mass. It plays well and sounds ok... if you're alone in a quiet room. Someday we'll trade it toward something good!
I talked to John and he told me about the article that he and Bear are working on. Cool! You guys will have a blast over at his shop. It's quite the place.
Hey man, it's been a while. It's good to see your playing a lot and i look forward to hearing you guys. Thanks for the note man and be well....

This is hard. I'm more of a rhythm player myself, so I guess I pay more attention to that when listening to guitar players. I feel the only way to have a successful Bluegrass band is to have a great rhythm guitar player. So, I would have to say that some of my favorite guitar players are Del McCoury, Tony Rice and Dan Tyminski.

I'm the leader and Rhythm guitar player for Acoustic Blue. I do play lead as well, but not a whole lot. I pride myself in my solid bluegrass style rhythm playing. The band is really making a name for itself and really starting to take off. Check out our website or myspace page at myspace.com/acousticblueonline if you get the chance.

Steve, my office is across the street from Dusty Strings in Seattle and it turns out they have a D18GE in stock. I had not even noticed it but picked it up. The neck takes some getting used to (or probably for me the bigger adjustment is tied to a 1…

I like what you said about being able to afford a 20 Dollar Hygrometer... if you can spend 4 grand on a box.. and you can't spend the little bit of money on the…
So what you are talking about here Jon, is not what I started the thread for( but it IS a nice aside!) You NEED to know what your humidity is at in your house were your axe lives. That is what the Hygrometer is for. There are all kinds of threads ev…
I've never had a gauge that I've used for any of my guitars, but what I have done which only costs a few dollars is to get a travel soap box and a sponge to use as a small humidifier that I keep in my case.
It's works really well and fits perfectly…
