Bluegrass Week

I had a great time at Mars Hill Bluegrass Week last week. Had great students, heard great music, played some great guitars, got to hang out and jam with Roland White. The week was almost perfect for me. Back home now and back to my usual boring routine life.

I'm officially here in Mars Hill NC ready to teach guitar at Bluegrass Week. Sharing a 4 room dorm room with Wayne Erbsen, Dave Talbot and Jack Lawrence. Had a small jam tonight and talked over old times. I've played in several NC bluegrass bands over the years. My wife, Penny Kilby and I now play together. We both have Henderson and Edmonds handmade guitars and we love old Martins.

Wayne Henderson Festival

Looking forward to the Wayne Henderson festival this weekend at Grayson Highlands State Park here in Mouth of Wilson VA. Gonna hear the hot new bluegrass group The Boxcar's, and of course I'll be in the guitar contest once again .... just to make the odds better for the winner ... :)
