I call my self the "Closer" ha! :) when it comes to nice restuarants, cough, choke, I won't say just how many! Restuarants will have music to increase business and sometimes it is already too late and they don't have the ability to sustain, and the next think you know....they are closed!
Anyhoooo, lunch next on the menu here, and I teach again tonight, keep in touch. Cheryl
Thompson guitars were introduced to me by Robin kessinger who has 3 himself. Robert Shafer has 2 or 3 and I know Mark Cosgrove has 1 or 2.A guy that is a neighbor and a friend has one. He loved mine and he had to have one. I've heard mine side by side with a new D-28, no comparsion. Mine has more bass than most I've heard, but that's the way I like it. They are loud also. Plenty of sustain too. last Xmas Curtis Jones (google him) from Atlanta and 2 of his friends came up toWV and 5 guitars from Bob.Go back a couple of issues of Flat Pick Guitar magazine and there's and article on Bob Thompson. I shot the photo that's in the article (chuckle). Right now you're getting a $3500 to $5000 guitar (at least) for $2500. Well worth the investment if you have the money right now. His phone is 304-273-3135. Tell him I recommended him to you.
