Hello Folks, Unless I'm mistaken the only difference is the inlay and the top bracing is scalloped? Is this correct? If so, what does the scalloping do? Thanks, Tom

I am currently working through Russ Barenberg's, "Exploring the Fingerboard" series. So far it has been a great method to work on practicing understanding the fretboard. I then work whatever music I'm currently working on.

Thanks, Then why would people be interested in different tunings, to make it easier to play a different set of chords or just a different type of sound? Tom

I'm not sure anyone really knows exactly why we tune the way we do. With the proposed tuning EADGCF we would still have five patterns that move up the neck (they'd just be different than the ones we know now) but with the second string tuned to B...

Hey Folks, This has always been a curiosity to me and I can't seem to find an answer. There are 2 1/2 steps between E -A, A-D, D-G, but then 2 steps from the G to the B string and then 2 1/2 again from B-E. Why wouldn't the strings go E,A,D,G,C,...
