I grew up listening to the Grand Ole Opry on WSM out of Nashville as a youngster. Through the years, I kept a guitar close by and never forgot those old tunes that made me tap a foot and grin from ear to ear.
I play those tunes whenever I get the chance. I hope I get a chance to pick with as many of the folks here on the Flatpicking Network as I can. Thanks to all of you for inspiring me to continue "Picking."
GREETINGS, WB4YAL, SORRY TO TAKE SO LONG IN ANSWERING THE CALL. WELCOME, BY THE WAY MY BROTHER LIVES IN OVIEDO... NOT FAR FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL. I FREQUENTLY TRAVEL THERE TO SEE MY AUDIOLOGIST. HOPE TO MEET SOME DA WHEN I'M THERE. TRAVELING TO HOBOKEN, GA FOR THE BLUEGRASS CONVENTION AND A LOT OF TAILGATING, WHICH NOW IS BEING HELD THERE AT TWIN OAKS, IN THE FLORIDA ROOM, PLUS IT'S AIR CONDITIONED WHICH WITH THE CURRENT WEATHER IS A WELCOMED FEELING AND EASIER ON MY MARTIN D-28. TAKE CARE AND STAY IN TOUCH. I CHECK THIS SITE 1-2 TIMES A WEEK WHEN I'M HOME.

"I hear you, buddy. I will hit the big 70 in January! YikesI But nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, will keep me from several hours a day on my guitar, banjo, and fiddle. I figure, now that I am retired, every day is Saturday! You are one…"
