I am more of a songwriter and singer than a flatpicker, though I once aspired to be one, and have great admiration for anyone who is a tasteful flatpicker. I believe firmly "less is more". I sit on the couch and mess around with flatpicking tunes when nobody's listening.

Hi, Wil. My wife Marilyn and I really enjoyed your set with Robert on Saturday night at Peaceful Bend. Notwithstanding all the incredible music packed into four days, and not to downplay all the other great musicians, your performance remains the highlight of the festival for us. Hope you had a good time; we sure did.
Wil-
I am a veteran guitarist of many years in Nashville, and I heard your music while doing a search for Robert Bowlin. I used to hear him play fiddle now and then, and an old, late, mutual friend, Tater Tate, told me I needed to hear Robert's guitar playing, too! Well, the rest is history. Your music has been the best therapy for me I could imagine. I am a brain-injury survivor, after taking a fall on our Ohio farm. When released from the hospital, all I could do was stare at the guitar; not a clue. Wil, I hope you don't get too discouraged; I know this a discouraging business. Nobody else on earth can tell your story. I think you and Robert both are treasures. I now live on a farm, with horses, goats, etc., and it's where my roots are, just like you. We are truly blessed. I am trying to regain the ability to play again. My injury has a 60% fatality rate, so I am so happy to be alive. Especially when I listen to you and Robert. Sorry to go on so long. James

I really admire your way with a song. I'm a bit of a youtube addict and I stumbled upon your music that way. I kept stumbling. I bookmarked and stumbled some more. Beautiful music.
