My schedule has changed three times since the last time I played with you guys. I'm working from 2 p.m. 'til 10 p.m. now, but who knows it may change again. If it does I'll give you a call. I've been pickin' the hell out of Loudermilk's "Windy and Warm", Rob played it the last time I was there. I've been deep in finger pickin' country, with tricky alternating bass lines, working on "Tiny Dancer" and Townes Van Zandt's "Dead Flowers."

alright, two's better than one. haha Went to Berlines Fesival this past week at Guthrie. This venues getting bigger and better each year. The weather and jamming was great. Lone Wolf Guitars of OKC was there as a vendor. Played several of his restored Martins. There nice but with a nice price to. Lets try and get a jam going at your place this winter during the holidays again. ttyl kevin

She definitely has talent and sounds better than half the music I hear on Sirius Bluegrass. I was shocked, usually someone says they have a CD and it means one or two songs that are ok and you're not so fond of the rest but she's got a distinctive sound and good lyrics on all of them. If anybody likes Nancy Griffith, Emy Lou Harris they ought to love her CD. It was a pleasant surprise, I'll make sure to spread the word around.

Dale did stop by the house while he was up in area and we picked for two or three hours. I had a great time. I have mainly just been pickin' on the couch by my lonesome and humming to my own rhythm. It was a nice change. Haven't gotten out any to play with others for whatever reasons (time, shyness, perceived lack of ability, etc) but would love to get together and pick whenever you're up this way.

HOLY COW! Ed, you've got to proud of your baby girl, she's got a real good sound and a great song selection. Ordered my copy of her CD today.

That would be great, Siloam is about 10 minutes from my place. I've been hoping to find a few people close by to get plugged into whatever flatpicking is out there in the NWA area.

Hey Ed,
Thanks for saying hi. Hopefully I'll get a chance to meet you when you're in New York sometime. Best wishes,

Hey Ed, Thanks for the update. Tony Rice, Clay Hess, Josh Williams and Kenny Smith will all be here for the Bluegrass and Chili Festival in Claremore. Sept. 4-6. It's free! Check out the schedule on their website.
This is a busy time for me. Lots of required travel. I am going to the Kansas State Fiddle and Strings contest on Aug 24th on my way to Milwaukee. I will get back in time for Claremore. After that I hope to slow my travel schedule down a little. Of course, I wouldn't miss the Flatpicking at Winfield for anything. Give me a call sometime and see if our paths will cross on any of those. 918-706-7906. Later, Gary

Steve, my office is across the street from Dusty Strings in Seattle and it turns out they have a D18GE in stock. I had not even noticed it but picked it up. The neck takes some getting used to (or probably for me the bigger adjustment is tied to a 1…

I've never had a gauge that I've used for any of my guitars, but what I have done which only costs a few dollars is to get a travel soap box and a sponge to use as a small humidifier that I keep in my case. It's works really well and fits perfectly…
