If that picture shows up, I am the guy in the hat talking to the bartender. I played some gigs in Jefferson county mo in 1962, some in vietnam and cambodia in 1970, some in in 1977 when Bob Minner (he was a bit shy) stepped to the front of my 6th grade classroom and played his banjo, (I have a Joe Prichard Gibraltar album still selling somewhere--they charged me 18 dollars for the cd from 1074, I played piano for Chuck Berry late in the 80's when johnny Johnson was not available, and with a lot of female vocalists until they figured out how to make money without my help. I still do 5 or 6 nights a week around festus---48 years, I have never stopped, it is still fun---but I count following the success of Bob as a genuine thrill among all the things I associate with music or teaching. People around here are very proud of Bob--his name comes up a few unpredictable times.

Maybe i will learn to play guitar before it is too late.

Very interesting bio, Joe. Sounds like Bob is as fond of you as you are of him. Welcome to the site. Anyone who who can lay claim to having Bob play the banjo in front of the 6th grade class is ok in my book.

Joe! I have thought of you often. Your piano and sax in class had a huge influence on me musically. So very good to hear from you. Hunt me up on Facebook as well. I'd love to hook up again after all these years and bring you out to a Tim McGraw show (I play for him). Please keep in touch.

Kevin, I'm guessing you're gold mining for some more ideas for Big Sciota. I can't wait to hear your version next time I get a chance. I know it will be excellent. Later, Gary
