I was born in 1945 on a small cattle ranch north of north dakota in canada my dad always listen to the grand ol operyI have learned from russ berenburg steve kaufman dix bruce beppe ,robbin kessinggeri have bought videos even from flatpickmagazine you guys I subscribed a few years back and i will again. I have been playing for many years played country rock in the 60&70 on the road.I learned in the bush you might say. I am still a student I have learned so much from all you great guitar players I wish I could have been around you guys when I was younger but I still love learning music it is such a great enjoyment.

Maurice - I'm guessing that the guy in Bluegrass Unlimited is Mike "Maddux", rather than me (Maddox), but I'll take the confusion anytime. The other Mike is a great picker. Also, it's nice that everyone in Canada now thinks I can actually pick.

I saw a video in which Norman discussed why he preferred a certain fret when refretting one of his Martin's. I am about to refret my D-35 Martin, and I would like to know if anyone remembers a video in which Norman discusses his choice over the Frets Martin uses. Thank You.7See More
