Americana 2010

Finally recovered from American 09, what a great weeknd of music and fun !

Thanks to all who came and supported great guitar music in the midwest. If its not the finest weeknd of Flatpicklin , its rite up there .

Father's Day weekend in CA...

Just heading back home from a weekend in CA. Father's Day Fest in Grass Valley (missed Dan Miller -he was in VA), and Huck Finn Jubilee in Victorville. Disappointed that the Roy Rogers Museum has been moved from Victorville to Branson, MO. Happy to have seen Paige Anderson (hope you're feeling better Paige), heard Molly Tuttle and the Tuttle band, and visited with my buddy Mike Wilhoyte, always a good time. Schizo guitarist trying to focus

I love the guitar and have been playing now for 30 years (off and on), but my biggest struggle has always been trying to focus on a style for any length of time. I love fingerstyle the most, but I also love acoustic flatpicking, jazz/swing, rockabilly, blues, heavy metal, etc. Given the limited time to practice, with 14 hour work days and commute, I guess I feel like I'm just scratching the surface with each style, although I try to focus practice time as much as possible. Using a Metronome

Hello to all.

How do you use a Metronome. I understand this is a very good tool for timing, I have 2 Metronomes, I turn them on and they go tick tock tick tock etc. I understand their importance. All kidding aside. What would be a good set-up for practice.
