Flatpicking Guitar Magazines and CDs

I exchanged e-mails with Dan Miller on this matter and he suggested I blog it, so here goes.

I have recently moved and find myself downsizing a number of things.

Flat pick on the Eastern Shore of VA

Sure would like to play more fiddle tunes and less Bluegrass with other folk. I'm curious to see if I might hear from anyone in this area. I do manage to leave home and get a good dose going to Allegheny Echoes, Augusta, etc. But. Playing closer to home would be handy - not to mention the savings in gas. Call if you're in the area. 757-442-6008. Tom W.

Music Festival

I have just returned July11,12,13 from the Big Horn Mountain Music Festival, in Buffalo Wy. What a great time, spending time in guitar seminars with Jeff Troxel and Kenny Smith. The great musicians were very inspirational and gave lots of great advise. Seeing friends and spending time listening to new musicians and making new friends is what I love about festivals. thanks to all who participated and I am looking forward to more in the future.

"I have settled on the BlueChip CT55. The BlueChip picks play very smooth and fast, with little pick noise. By the way, I use their thumb picks as well- best I've ever used."
