C.F. Mountain - Massive Violations of Business Ethics.

I've never once put my hands on one of these things - not that I recall, anyway.  I've been fooling with steel string acoustics since I was twelve years old though, and me and my grandfather used to hit every flea market within a hundred miles to buy them cheap, repair (if needed) and re sell them.

So likely I HAVE played a "C.F. Mountain" guitar, but the lack of ethics in the name and display is astonishing.

I've seen some on ebay but I've never actually played one.

Hey Steve - thanks for commenting!  On the Hubpages article that I linked here, a guy in England named "Dave" is telling me that he'd not trade his "C.F. Mountain" guitar for anything.  I could possibly be wrong as to the quality of some of these instruments - but if I had one, I'd still take some sand paper to the head stock, and I'd never try to tell anyone that it was anything other than what it is.

"All I remember was when he had a Martin with flush frets on it (i.e. just markers for a guitar that was designed for slide only) and he had it converted for flat picking. "

Norman's Preferences

I saw a video in which Norman discussed why he preferred a certain fret when refretting one of his Martin's. I am about to refret my D-35 Martin, and I would like to know if anyone remembers a video in which Norman discusses his choice over the Frets Martin uses. Thank You.7See More
