Flatpicking Guitar Network

For Fans of Flatpicking Guitar Magazine

I'm looking for a really great player to push me beyond my current limits as a guitar player. I live in South Carolina but I'll be in Oklahoma for six weeks this summer. If anyone knows a great player/teacher in SC or OK I'd appreciate a heads up.

Love this forum idea. Love this site. Can't wait until it grows into everyone in our community.

Cheers.

sk,
I recommend that you get a hold of Cody Frost. He is a great player who lives in Grove, Oklahoma. Cody has done well at many contests, including Winfield. His email address is: cfrost@wavelinx.net.

Good luck!

sk, I live near Tulsa, OK. I'm pretty much a woodshedder because I haven't made a connection with any local flatpickers yet. I plan to be at Grove, OK on June 6th for the flatpicking contest and other events. I hope to meet some folks to play with locally and, like you, help get me to the next level. Maybe we could meet and compare notes. My personal email is garytremel@cox.net. I think I'll take the above advice and see if I can meet Cody Frost too. I've heard him play at Winfield. He's the real deal. Later.

Norman's Preferences

I saw a video in which Norman discussed why he preferred a certain fret when refretting one of his Martin's. I am about to refret my D-35 Martin, and I would like to know if anyone remembers a video in which Norman discusses his choice over the Frets Martin uses. Thank You.7See More
