Well, I will try this blog thing out for a bit.
I have been trying to learn to play the guitar for nearly 5 years now. 4 at least. I wasted a couple years with no lessons at all. Chased my tail. Still practiced and played but real ineffective. Chad Fette has me playing now and am I happy with that. On good days, mostly sundays, when I am not completely fatigued, I can have some prettty good sessions where I play pretty well ...for me. I just have to work even harder. It sure is slow going. Fatigue seems to be my biggest impediment. If I drink coffee the caffeine just gets me too jumpy and I won't sit still to play. As embarressing as it is to show my age, a nice nap does wonders for my ability to play. My room upstairs is up and running again after my remodel. I need a chair and some more shelves and a stereo and I will have it really nice there.
My latest tune to learn is Lord Gordon's Reel. Sounds good medium slow. I will have it learned by the time I go to Starvy Creek Bluegrass Festival.
