An incredible weeknd.. The pickin was perfect.
I thought Allen had a real good first round.. tops on my scoresheet.. so go figure..
The hilite for me was an early friday morn jam I listened to at the Kessinger
Camp.. Robin , Allen, Tyler Grant on mando, a gal with a bass in a tye dyed, matched to Robin t-shirt. for a half hour or so it seemed only me and Marilyn
sittin and listenin..
I said at the time it was the finest seat of the weeknd.. it was.. Randy
joined in and folks showed up..and it got busier, but for just a short time
it was me and some fine, fine pickers..
The Dusters, Mountain Heart shows on the big stage were awesome..
I laugh when they call it bluegrass.. but it is as good as it gets, whatever you call it. By the time of the last Duster set they had a packed grandstand.. and they put on a fine show. The Lads can pick !
I stayed up to late, got up to early, ate too much, had a frito pie, and
bought 2 bycycles.
Cycled more in 2 days than the last 2 decades..
but short a cart, its the only way to get a Taste of Winfield.. The Pecan
Grove at midnite wed , dark and rutted dirt rds, an kinda old dude and a
bycycle.. That story is worthy a Guy Clark song.
I had a very fine fiddletune jam with Dave Anderson , out of St Louis, at
our camp..
We are comfortable in our seats it seems, and that makes for good pickin.

Steve, my office is across the street from Dusty Strings in Seattle and it turns out they have a D18GE in stock. I had not even noticed it but picked it up. The neck takes some getting used to (or probably for me the bigger adjustment is tied to a 1…

Sorry to get a little off topic :-( I realized it once I clicked the Add Reply button.. I like what you said about being able to afford a 20 Dollar Hygrometer... if you can spend 4 grand on a box.. and you can't spend the little bit of money on the…

So what you are talking about here Jon, is not what I started the thread for( but it IS a nice aside!) You NEED to know what your humidity is at in your house were your axe lives. That is what the Hygrometer is for. There are all kinds of threads ev…

I've never had a gauge that I've used for any of my guitars, but what I have done which only costs a few dollars is to get a travel soap box and a sponge to use as a small humidifier that I keep in my case. It's works really well and fits perfectly…
