For Fans of Flatpicking Guitar Magazine
I know I know. You don't want to hear about Japanese guitars. I'm sorry, I recently played one that was so good a guitar that I have to talk about it. Hell, I created a nice webpage about Yamaki brand acoustic guitars because the one that my Uncle Thomas owns is so nice.
Martin Style dreadnought with nice appointments, but a Western Red Cedar top matched to what is probably East Indian Rosewood back and sides, all solid wood construction, and the cedar soundboard delivers very nicely. My uncle and I both play tortoise shell picks, elixir strings, and with a heavy (Loud) attack - but the cedar top was not over driven, every note rings loud and clear. Beautiful guitar.
