So,Collings or Bourgeois, hmm? Try the Country Boy Deluxe mahogany dreadnaught,it is a fantastic guitar.Regarding Colling's i've never played one(except Steve Kaufman's OM),but i read nothing but great things on them.
Good luck on the hunt.
Hello from Texas to another McPherson fan! I have had mine now for five years and boy has it grown into an awesome sounding and playing guitar. Although it is getting close to needing a fret job. Mine is a MG 4.5 Bearclaw Sitka and indian rosewood, very beautiful wood both front and back. What is yours and how do you like it so far?
Wow, what a small world we live in, I bought mine from Danny as well. Found his place online, talked to him once and sent him the money. The next morning Fed-Ex knocked on my door with my "Baby". I use the short bridge as well and have gone through many, many strings. At the present time I am using Cleartones Bluegrass set up .013 - .056. I have always noticed that this guitar is very loud, out plays the others I have and the guy's I have played with. I play all styles and have a song book with a multitude of songs, currently and for the last 8 months I have been consumed with flatpicking. Learning stuff from Bryan Sutton, Scott Fore, Rick Williams, and a ton of others on youtube.com.

My first Carbon was an Adamas.I currently play a Rainsong Dred.I discovered carbon Guitars 2 years ago in a local Guitar store and purchased one within a month. I played my first RainSong Dred about a year later and bought that one.I watched Scott Nygards reviews on you tube and that kinda got me searching.Anyone else play the fakes?See More
